Providing a Network of Support

Our team at the Senior Hub becomes a network of support connecting vulnerable seniors to nutrition and supportive services to improve outcomes while recovering from surgery, convalescing after an accident, or for supporting needs on a long term basis. Our caring staff touch base with our members on a regular basis, assist with completing applications and other paperwork, provide referrals and information about services available, and ensure needs are being met. Fighting senior isolation and hunger are top priorities for our agency with both issues being paramount to a senior's overall health and well-being.

The Meals on Wheels program is the only federally supported program designed specifically to meet the nutritional and social needs of seniors.  Local support for senior services comes to our agency through Older American Act funding, the Meals on Wheels Senior Services levy, donations, grants, and fundraising. This support allows Fairfield County seniors to receive services, when they need services and not to be placed on a wait list due to lack of funds.

Community-based programs like ours are welcomed into the homes of some of our communities most at-risk individuals with every meal delivery or supportive service provided. Frequent in-home visits provide unique opportunities to meet nutritional needs, combat social isolation, address safety hazards, and provide holistic care. Consistent and reliable supportive services provide peace of mind for seniors and their family building trust in knowing that their needs will be met.

Our services are vast and encompass programs that are designed with seniors in mind to ensure health, connection, and independent living for as long as safely possible.
